Our enrolment grew to 156 students this period, with 98 new enrolments joining 58 returning learners. Demand for vocational and horticultural training at Chipinge College of Horticulture continues to rise.

Students have been putting their skills to practical use around the campus. The carpentry and joinery department repaired broken desks and window panes, the plumbing department fixed taps, and the brick and block laying department started construction of a new toilet and bathroom block.

We have now used all the materials purchased through student fees and the Kwanda pilot funding. With enrolments increasing, we are running short on training materials, equipment, and classroom furniture, and it is starting to limit the number of practical sessions we can run.

We are compiling a prioritised list of materials and equipment for the next cycle, with supplier quotes, and will share a costed budget once it is confirmed.
